Elon Musk is indeed a pathetic pussy

fonix232@fedia.io · 34 pts · 282d (1 reply)

No, don't bring pussies into this. fElonia lacks the warmth and depth to be one.

tired_n_bored@lemmy.world · 13 pts · 282d

I was just quoting Billie Eilish. I agree with you tho

Lemminary@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 281d

A disgusting asshole, and a selfish dickhead. He's really got it all.

A_norny_mousse@feddit.org · 65 pts · 282d (6 replies)

The choice words:

The graphic Eilish reposted gave context for that level of wealth by naming a number of actions that could be accomplished using that money: ending world hunger, saving endangered species, and rebuilding Gaza. Eilish shared multiple slides from the graphic before adding her own thoughts: “etc…. fucking pathetic pussy bitch coward,” she wrote.

And all this before he offers to impregnate her!

A_norny_mousse@feddit.org · 6 pts · 282d (4 replies)

Oh I vaguely remember this. That was her?

QuantumSparkles@sh.itjust.works · 5 pts · 282d (1 reply)

Lmao not that I know of, but it would fit his track record

Right, Taylor Swift. Feels like a decade ago.

HulkSmashBurgers@reddthat.com · 26 pts · 282d (15 replies)

That's great and all but what we need are people with some real power (politicians, federal prosecutors) to put fElon in his place.

theneverfox@pawb.social · 12 pts · 282d (11 replies)

IDK, at this point, Ellish for president. Why not

atzanteol@sh.itjust.works · 13 pts · 282d (2 replies)

"That guy from The Apprentice should run for president!"

That's why not.

theneverfox@pawb.social · 10 pts · 281d (1 reply)

And he became the main character of global politics for a decade

Now imagine if he rose to fame by promising to tax billionaires instead of from racism?

atzanteol@sh.itjust.works · -2 pts · 281d

It's funny - liberals still think it's Trumps policies that are the worst thing about him.

Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 11 pts · 282d (4 replies)

Because she's not a politician, doesn't want to be one, and probably wouldn't be anywhere near as good at it as she is at music.

I know you were being facetious, but (especially) Americans REALLY need to stop suggesting that everyone sympathetic and admirable run for public office.

There's already a shitload of EXTREMELY unqualified people calling the shots in American politics, and the "popularity to politics pipeline" is the second-biggest reason for it after people buying political power.

theneverfox@pawb.social · 10 pts · 282d (3 replies)

Americans REALLY need to stop suggesting that everyone sympathetic and admirable run for public office.

You don't seem to understand how desperately we need someone sympathetic and admirable to unfuck things

It's probably not Eilish or Steward, but if sure as hell isn't Gavin Newsum or Kamala Harris... And those are the options being presented to us. The Democratic establishment even gave Hunter Biden a test run, they are desperate to avoid any form of progress

If you don't think it's appropriate to call for random public figures to run for president, I don't think you really understand where politics in this country are right now

Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 11 pts · 282d (2 replies)

You don't seem to understand how desperately we need someone sympathetic and admirable to unfuck things

I do. That's WHY I'm speaking up against suggesting people who are both but don't have the skill set, experience, and other requisites for being good at politics.

It's probably DEFINITELY not Eilish or Steward, but if sure as hell isn't Gavin Newsum or Kamala Harris either

Fixed it for you.

If you don't think it's appropriate to call for random public figures to run for president, I don't think you really understand where politics in this country are right now

On the contrary: I know that it's not appropriate BECAUSE I know American politics well enough to know how fucked up things are.

As I pointed out already, random public figures being drafted for/inserting themselves into politics is a HUGE part of the problem, going back to Reagan, and likely further still.

theneverfox@pawb.social · 0 pts · 282d (1 reply)

Do you think what we need is a competent administrator? Fuck no, what we need a symbol to rally behind. Look at Trump... He doesn't do shit

We need a populist figure that will attract progressives who do know how politics work, and not the Democratic party picks, who are consultant brained cowards who resist change

Reagan was bad because he was the face of a bad movement. Same with Trump. It doesn't matter that they were on TV first, they had the same evil cabal behind them

At the end of the day, bad things are bad and good things are good. You're misdiagnosising the problem

Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 282d

Do you think what we need is a competent administrator?

To do the job of competently administering things? Funnily enough, I do.

Fuck no, what we need a symbol to rally behind

Look at Trump... He doesn't do shit

Case in fucking point!

We need a populist figure that will attract progressives who do know how politics work, and not the Democratic party picks, who are consultant brained cowards who resist change

Agreed on all counts.

Reagan was bad because he was the face of a bad movement

And because his charisma and fame far outstripped his competency and integrity.

His image made the movement possible just like Trump does now. Giving incompetent (at the ACTUAL job) figureheads a lot of power tends to cause a shitload of trouble for everyone else involved, and often themselves.

At the end of the day, bad things are bad and good things are good.

Which is why I would love for Michael Phelps to perform surgery on me! After all, good is good and he was REALLY good at propelling himself through liquid swiftly!

You're misdiagnosising the problem

Nope. You're endorsing a big part of the problem as a solution.

Dude bought Twitter just to ban randos from speaking bad about him.

He is thin skinned little shit

Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works · 11 pts · 282d (1 reply)

He is a little shit, but come on purchasing Twitter was textbook fascism media control. Far more than just petty reputation protection. This was a major power grab.

I_Has_A_Hat@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 281d

Yea, but idiots feel better when they think the people dismantling society are all secretly miserable and are only doing the things they do because they have hurt feelings, rather than being a part of a coordinated effort to consolidate of power into the hands of the wealthy and getting everything they ever wanted.

tornavish@lemmy.cafe · 10 pts · 281d

He bought twitter to punish his trans daughter for being trans because he thought twitter radicalized her.

Lemminary@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 281d (3 replies)

I don't think it was that personal. I think he only wanted to get rid of a massively popular leftist space.

Smoogs@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 281d (2 replies)

That’s sounding pretty personal.

Lemminary@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 280d (1 reply)

Is it? He wasn't hiding his intentions. Even some of his private messages with Jack Dorsey alluded to the platform being overrun by the left.

Smoogs@lemmy.world · 0 pts · 279d

Again: he’s taking the left personal. This is all just proving my point that he’s a snowflake.

redsand@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 7 pts · 282d

He cares what people think in general. His need for validation is more voracious than his need for ketamine. Grimes could twist this knife and make him cry.

krashmo@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 282d

Then why did he buy Twitter

Fuck Elon but this is not news worthy

mic_check_one_two@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 8 pts · 280d

While I want to agree, getting it into the zeitgeist and public debate has value. This has the potential to get some of her “I didn’t really care about Musk before” fans to look into it further, which can only help sway opinion against him. It won’t sway his supporters, but that’s not really the point. The point is to target the fence-sitters, and to engage those who haven’t engaged yet.

It’s not news for people who already like or dislike Musk. It’s news for those who don’t already care.

You fool. She's poor as shit compared to him. That's like if you described a homeless person criticizing Billie Eilish for refusing to end world hunger as "“rich person hates on rich person” 😧"
