Nobody should ever apologise for taking down X and ChatGPT 😆

I wonder how much compute time, electricity and CO2 it saved!

I like how this post is phrased like they specifically apologized for the aussie.zone downtime.

They did. In a handwritten letter. Delivered by messenger pigeon.

Obligatory reminder that this is a legitimate way to send IP packets.

Even worse, they took down the itch.io launcher so I couldn't play Niota last night

I first noticed the outage because of aomstats.io being offline. Then I noticed Matrix was down. And then I went to Lemmy to complain, and couldn't 😭

Thousands of users began reporting issues with the sites, as well as other services, to outage monitoring site Downdetector shortly after 11:30 GMT.

Presumably this wasn't one of the many downdetector sites that were down because they use Cloudflare's captcha.

I'd be extremely interested in seeing what sort of SLAs popped up in regards to this!
