Does anyone know how iodé compares to /e/OS?

Never tried iodé, but from what I heard they are a bit faster with android/security updates (but not much), they don't have their own cloud ecosystem, their system level adblocker has some features behind a paywall (custom filters mainly AFAIK) and their default apps are just existing FOSS apps (except the adblocket), not forks and all default apps can be uninstalled

Yes, they are both privacy friendly OS with microG preinstalled to replace Google services. But they're not based on the same project : IodéOS is based on LineageOS (like /e/OS) while Calyx uses AOSP.

It's not a huge difference but in my experience after switching from Calyx to Iodé, some applications wouldn't work anymore, mainly banking apps.

Anyone know whether the Fairphone 6 supports all of the Canadian/North American wireless bands? If I can get confirmation it works with any Canadian carrier I will pay a third party to ship me one from Europe again because I'm so damn sick of having phones with sealed in batteries.

My Fairphone 5 had to be relegated to a glorified iPod Touch because it stopped connecting to my network. And it will probably still outlast my new phone. I will get a new battery for it when the time comes, I still use it at home and it's awesome.

Does anyone have experience with both /e/ and iodé? I'm curious to know how they compare. It looks like maybe iodé supports Android Auto, which would be cool since /e/ (which I'm currently daily driving) doesn't. However, it also looks like iodé isn't open-source, which is a deal-breaker for me unless there's some good reason for it that I just don't know.

Iodé is open source. Android auto for A15 based /e/os is supposedly coming in the next update
