I got extremely lucky today. Only heard of two of those In yellow and got lucky. Didn’t see either blue or purple and just took a stab in the dark on last life.
Funny how the difficulty of this puzzle varies so much between people. I had green and yellow on the first read-through, which made blue a snap, but I'm still not clear on WTF purple was.

I was not expecting blue to be blue... It was the first connection I saw (after the red herring) so I thought it would be much lower on the scale.
Also I had never heard of "shell" in that context.
