Didnāt mean to trivialize, I thought it was ocd, for me at least, because the disorder of everything you can grab in the game makes me feel stressed but yoinking it all makes me feel better, but then Iām stressed because I need to order the literal everything Iāve grabbed and so I collect try to organize it but the game makes it so difficult that eventually I have to quit it cause it takes too much time out of my life. But thatās self diagnosing, maybe for me itās just a compulsion to bring order
I don't want to invalidate your experience, and I also don't want to armchair diagnose or anything like that, so I won't even go in to whether I think that is or isn't OCD, but if the anxiety feels overwhelming, I'd suggest talking to someone about it.
I can say from my own experience of definitely having OCD that it literally dictates everything, there is not a single decision I can make in my day that isn't impacted by it, it is all consuming and on a bad day doing the "wrong" thing (like touching the wrong side of an object) can cause a complete breakdown.
I'm genuinely not trying to have a go at you, mental illness can have different levels and different people experience things differently, I also don't think you meant any malice by using the term (and really appreciate your edit!). I just think it's important to be aware of the language we use and the impact it can have.
Just wanted you to know where I was coming from when I typed OCD! Cause everything in life colors how we see a funny lil pic. Trivializing your struggles isn't right! Hope your day is good and you have at least a teehee moment or two!
I'd really love to see an Inventory Management game since that seems like a huge part of most modern games.
In the game you're like a little gnome who lives in a bag of holding and its your task to give the right items to the hand reaching in the bag, or put away items as they enter the bag
Big same š I'll tell myself "you're already fully equipped for the rest of the game and also have plenty of gold! You don't need to pick up ANYTHING, much less everything" and yet..
Yeah and the pockets of the guard looking right at me might contain a trivial for my level healing potion or a something else I'm never gonna use! Totally worth the risk!

Go through the trouble to smelt and deconstruct everything for an abundance of raw materials you could do whatever your heart desires with?
Find a merchant and sell everything, so you'll get some money out of it at least?
