“I’m not racist BUT” is one hell of a dog whistle. I honestly can’t tell if this is a purposefully shitty take making fun of genociders, or a purposefully shitty pro-genocide take.
I'm not gonna get down on you for taking a meme literally instead of satirically, I do that shit accidentally sometimes too. Get all righteous and indignant and then read it back later in the day to discover I am but a fallible human with a variable blood sugar level.
Most zionists would seemingly agree with both of these viewpoints I don’t think you’ll find many pro-Israel democrats in the US who are also white nationalists.
Right, the meme is the literal beliefs of American zionists, that's why a simple juxtaposition of both beliefs highlighting the ethical inconsistency between them is all that is required for satire.
We need like a symbol or emoji or something for satire cause it's honestly getting too hard to tell.
I have to ask people all the time to clarify.
I personally like the upside down smiling face. Melting face. Just something we can agree on and that won't come up in other conversations too much. And that's also on most people's phones.
I know it's been a month but just wanted to inform that the "/s" you mention is one of the "tone indicators" I was talking about. This is a backup account I use for when my main instance goes down.

We have those. They're called tone indicators. Yet, some idiots think it is beneath them to be inclusive.

Hey I know it's been a week but. I learned about this today. That's relevant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe's_law
Also. Ive seen two people add "s/".
At the end of their comment to denote it as satire/sarcasm. That seems to work well too. And can be done on a computer

The people who are angry that you can't read their mind, yet they can't read yours.
I recall a long time ago that the period symbol used to imply sarcasm tone. But that was back when you had to always manually add it.
That was like.. 2000 -2010 ish. I think.
Or was I just a sarcastic teen who assumed everyone I talked to was also being sarcastic. 🤔

I’ve used both in non-satirical contexts, but am personally more likely to interpret 🙃 as a /s tone indicator.

Those who support an ethnostate do so without identifying it as an ethnostate. They simply argue for the supremacy of one particular group.
ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 232d
It just so happens that these groups are divided by ethnicity instead of literally anything else, lol.

I’m genuinely this dense when jokes about genociders accurately portray their viewpoints.

So genocide is okay as long as you're Jewish, or what exactly are you trying to say here?
