Band members resign and festival ends collaboration with "KI band" Vestavind

The music plagiarism project here in Norway is falling apart; band members are quitting etc. Basically just a dude who used Suno to copy and then rearrange music from other bands and tried to present it as real authorship. lifted from mastodon

I cannot vouch for this, says drummer Martin Hystad after massive criticism from the music industry.

We knew that AI had been used to create some of the songs, but not that there was that much, says Martin Hystad.

I'm slightly confused by "KI band" in the title instead of simply "AI band". I'm assuming "KI" is the abbreviation for the Norwegian word for artificial intelligence (like in German "künstliche Intelligenz").

Your assumption is spot on!

Yeah, but then "Band" is German for "tape"... Very confusing of them.

Or volume. Like a volume of the Dragonball manga. The volume where they all gather ki, the Ki Band.

Didn't think of that... In relation to music, I only remembered audio tape

Yes, "Kunstig intelligens". It's mostly used by state media, most normies will say AI

Other events have apparently booked them. No such thing as bad publicity.
