Hang on a minute. That would indicate that ladybugs, or the divine mini-bovine, was likely named after the domestication of cows, since cows being an easy go to for naming something without name. Which has some interesting implications for the development of European languages. The indo-European group that moved west likely would have with them domesticated cows when they named the ladybug. Which means either it wasn't worth naming during the thousands of years of human language when humans were hunter gatherers, or the ladybugs were not native to the area the cow-domesticators came from. Or am I missing something?
Seems genpop is reaching the self realization stage of mazlow's pyramid early in life. So the fundamental question is, do we as a society create what we need so we can work less? The answer is yes. Productivity gains have been enormous. Then why can't we work less? The value you create at your job goes not to you, but your employer's owner. It is funneled into wealth for the insanely wealthy who try to get richer still by investing in wealth growth, not productivity growth or growth in common welfare for all. If a person, having access to the education currently provided in modern states, is still ignorant, then that is a choice or a result of lack of intelligence. Every school child today is taught Socrates' cave analogy, but most dismiss it as a story without realizing it applies to their world view. Who hears the story and starts questioning? Those who are naturally question-Askers, which is one characteristic of intelligence.
As you say, and I agree, they follow the default, the reason being, the default is easy, and most people want easy. They want to outsource difficult tasks to institutions, that is easy for them.
Of course it is also easier to survive by not questioning.
