Absolute insane decision to me. Yes, they haven't looked great, but they are top 8 in CL and only 4 points behind in La Liga. It wouldn't be the first time Real looks underwhelming in the first half of the season before stepping up on the second half.

I suspect his popularity with their glacticos is the real reason here. You can't afford to lose the support of players like that as its cheaper to change the manager than a bunch of super expensive players.

I still think its the wrong decision but it would not be the first time the manager takes the fall than the superstar.

Yeah, I don't follow RM at all and have no idea how they look on the field, but their results are pretty good.
