If an account is impersonating someone on Instagram you can only report them as such if they have an Instagram account

Gonna go find celebs not on Instagram and pretend to be them now.

i could just imagine celeb getting an instagram and flag the celebrities account as impersonator

That's probably why some of them have an official account with one post.

Maybe people do it on purpose so the celebrity actually does make an account. Force someone you like to make an account in the hopes that they'll post. lol

I used to mod a Facebook group about music and every day several fake accounts impersonating famous musicians would request to join and there was no way to report them for impersonation lol

when I dealt with the weird google voice facebook scammers id flag there account as impersonating sony, universal, meta. major corporations. it auto blocked them when i did that. i guess that eventually worked because scammers stopped

I used to report for fraud, but even clearly scam account posting stuff like "Hey, this is Snoppe Dogey and I'm going to give 10 grand to the first three people that message me" would get ignored, I only saw bots posting phishing links with porn images getting banned

Though a good lawyer can contest that. Probably not worth it, but ...

Super annoying also when the profile is clearly fake with stolen pictures, but it’s impossible to know from who

What worse is that some people don't know how to crop an image!
