All babies shit themselves, and evidence suggests I was once a baby - but since I have moved on, if I were to shake hands with a shitty-handed person, I would wash my hands afterwards.
I mean, I used to hate Microsoft way more when I was using Windows. Now I mostly do not care. Except when I have to open office365, then yes, I really hate Microsoft.
I'd like to meet the person responsible of designing that webpage and present him some very sadic friend.
I thought that until I was downvoted a bit back for calling them âM$â in reply to someoneâs post about how they donât want to switch to 11. I canât imagine where thatâs coming from, but it was a good few accounts.
I was told it came across as âunseriousâ and childish. I think itâs neither: Iâm adamant that M$ is garbage and Iâm quite serious about the advice I had given in my post to prioritize getting off of 10 before the hackers manage to find something worth exploiting.
M$ managed to make hating on them uncool somehow. Boggles my mind.
The entirety of bbno$ can only be pronounced if you already know itâs âbaby no moneyâ or whatever. When you replace an existing s with a dollar sign, itâs usually (not always) pronounced the same as it had been.
Every time I reboot my Win 11 PC, Microsoft tries to get me to switch to Linux. (I don't want their online backup and the forced advertisement for it on startup pisses me off.)
Everyone hated windows since ever. Not like real hatred, just making fun out of it.
That's why it's so weird and cultish to see Mac users so much in love with apple. It's not healthy.

Sure I may have used Windows in the past, but now I wash my hands of it.

The only times I've ever used anything but Linux as my main OS were the weekend I used FreeBSD and the weekend I used Haiku

This one is kind of tough. I'm forced to use Microslop at work (though I've been using GNU/Linux privately for over a decade)

I suspect that most Linux users are former Windows users.
Venat0r@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 202d
some Linux users are also current windows users đ

I must admit that I don't plan to stop using windows anytime soon.
Linux is great and all, but there's no replacing windows when it gets hot in the summer and I want to let the morning breeze in.

I'm just confused here about how "M$" is supposed to be read
multiplewolves@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 202d
âMicro$oftâ
MnemonicBump@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 2 pts · 202d
Right, but how is the "$" supposed to be pronounced? Is is Microcashsoft? Microdollarsoft? It's just not very intuitive
multiplewolves@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 202d
Itâs just pronounced like an s.
This reminds me of a gag in a music video where someone called Ke$ha âKay - dollar sign - hahâ
NiHaDuncan@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 201d
What about bbno$. Even he switches it up from time to time. Keeps you on your toes.

It wasn't so bad back in the day. They used to care about customer experience back when not everyone had access to technology.

Uchiha is more linux coded. The Ubuntu and Debian logos are basically mangekyo sharingans
Fedizen@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 202d
The logos maybe, windows users have definitely enjoyed being the uchiha clan until the AI slop coup.

I live in the UK and I wonder if the windows experience really is that different outside of the UK/Europe?
I don't have any intrusive ads or system instabilities that most of these posts complain about.
