A lot of love in here for Keychron. I bought one and really disliked it. I changed the switches and it got a bit better but I still wouldn't go with them again. I just don't like the feel.
I believe this is the first release of Calyx that lets you re-lock it. You couldn't on the older ones. I was running the old one right up until the new one released.
I think general advice is only lock it at the end of installation process to avoid problems (at least that's what I think I read months ago). You will leave a security hole open by not locking it.
I noticed some of the documentation on the Calyx site hasn't been updated to reflect changes in the new release. I'd prioritise info from the installer pages and processes over most other info on the site at the moment.
I used it for a week when I got FP4 (2024). It was pretty usable. I was still using my iPhone for music and to have it handy in case I needed something that UT couldn't do. It was a slow, planned migration. I was having an issue with music not outputting volume and then threw Calyx on it as music was a deal breaker for me. I still had the same issue on Calyx, it wasn't the OS that was the problem.
I've been on Calyx since aside from another little foray in UT before updating to the new Calyx and my issues with UT are all software based. The OS is functionally great on the phone, which makes sense because FP officially support it now.
Soccer is a minor sport in Australia compared to others. I don't really watch it but after we hosted the women's world cup a few years ago I did give the local A League a look. It just wasn't for me but I did try.
I'll watch the odd international game (even other countries) if it lines up now so the world cup did improve my opinion of the game, even if it didn't convert me to a fan.
I've got both and prefer vinyl. If I was starting from zero now I would focus on CDs. Not everything is available in every format but I think CDs have the most coverage.
“There’s no appropriate compensation for creators of manga, and at the same time, all the publishers, they don’t receive income or revenue because of the piracy issues,” Ugaki said. “Then they cannot allocate enough budget to create the next works or next line of work, so this influences the entire ecosystem of this manga industry.”
Fuck off. If you don't sell in that market, the money you're not making from the market is no one's fault but your own.

I've also got an Epomaker which is fantastic.
I paid near $60 for 3 chicken nugget size pieces of Kobe beef from a street vendor in Osaka.
Totally worth it.

No mention of cybersecurity.

Unhook does most of this in one extension.
You don't have to pay them low. You can make the choice to pay them above average.

Can be installed on more than just Pixels. Uses microG instead of sandboxing.
Seedvault works really well. Just remember to take the backup off the phone before you install the new version. That was a fun afternoon.

I don't know about value but certainly a lot of cost to hardware.
The problem is when the day is 12 or less. What's 7/8? 7th of August or 8th of July?
Just try it and see. If its a new phone its not like you're losing any past data.
How do you feel about other forms of animation?
Mushroom and cheese toastie... I'd never thought about that but might give it a go.

I'm not strongly either way but I like the public holiday for their birthday!
