From what I've seen, and strictly speaking from a male perspective, a lot of conservative men treat almost anything like property. Their property. It becomes a show of strength or power over other men in their lives by attempting to display all their property.
A woman, a child or a dog is the same as a bright red lifted pickup truck or a large piece of land to these kinds of conservative men. A display case for other men. Only for other men. Because all they care about is attention from other men. That makes it easy to view other "men" as fellow people and anything outside of their strict definition of "men" are considered objects to be owned.
It's gross how easy it is for conservative type men to dehumanize other people and objectify anything else that lives or feels.
I've had less exposure to conservative women so I don't have much experience to form a thought on how they view children, especially in the context of property.

The "life take two" gal has an interesting take: conservative men are kooking for drag queen like wives, as they don't understand femininity and so they can only identify exagerated female sexuality to consume. It's one of the reasons why real drag scares them.

Always have done. I was born in the 70s and grew up in the 80s and early 90s and it’s always been this way.
Consider parents and other adult caregivers compelling children to kiss visitors goodbye when they leave. It’s not that weird if it’s grandparents or other family, but when it extends to family friends, the lack of autonomy and respect being allowed to kids gets really strange. It’s weird for the adult, too. Having someone tell their child to kiss me, as someone on the spectrum, it puts me on the spot and I’m as uncomfortable as the kid. But I’m the adult, an authority figure to the kid, so they’re at a disadvantage. My go to solution is to offer a fist bump instead. Boy or girl, kids like to punch. And they’re not gonna hurt me. It makes them feel powerful, but also respected.

It absolutely is. The point of this community is in part to promote the idea that the youth should have autonomy and if they don't want to kiss etc someone then they shouldn't have to, family or not.

Very true. And it is very funny to think that liberals claim to be feminists when they completely ignore children and the fact they are oppressed in the same way.
