Verizon is very protective over their network and always has been. They used CDMA for years just to lock out outside competition amongst other walled garden bullshit. When they moved to GSM they still tried to lock their network to a whitelist of phone IMEIs they control. They do not want you to buy an unlocked phone from a brand they do not get paid by to be put on the whitelist support.

Very simply, the source ROM is code that isn’t readable in that way. The emulator interpolates the ROM binary. While ROM hacking is a thing, it’s done through hijacking the emulator’s/platform’s API calls.

Imagine having an audiobook as an MP3, but you want to rewrite chapter 8. You have all the words, you can hear them, but you don’t have the script. You have to transcribe everything first in order to have the book text. From there, you can edit what the book says, but it’d be easier if you just had the text in the first place.

My parents had 12 chickens for a few years! They’re not bad pets, nor bad starter farm animals!

Compost piles need to be churned constantly or else you’ll just have an oxidized layer on top that makes the further inwards material petrify rather than decompose. If you have hard winters, the pile will eventually freeze, so it’s super important to have it covered, and still churn it in winter so the microbes raise the temp as much as possible. Also, if it’s too dry where you are, microbes won’t break anything down.

You don’t start a chicken farm with Tractor Supply chicks is the answer. Even if you did it that way, you’re not really losing out much in the grand scheme of things.

Tractor Supply chicks are sold as glorified pets.

Fun fact: it costs next to nothing to ship chicks through the USPS because of heavy subsidies for the industry. You literally just buy a crate from a wholesaler to start a broiler farm.

I stayed on my iPhone 🙁 I really wanted to switch now that AirDrop and Universal Clipboard are coming to everyone. Samsung is a nice alternative, but I’m turned all the way off by them using non-flagship tiered chips in the Galaxy pad since I was going to buy the whole ecosystem. I’m taking it year by year, considering that there are other annoyances I’m unable to cope with.

Pixel phones are a nonstarter because Tensor is so unbelievably underpowered. I’m not paying full price for a chipset that lags behind 5 year old snapdragon phones.

yes, although the vast majority of circumcised individuals can still copulate, feel sexual gratification, orgasm, etc., the level of sensation loss is so massive that the two experiences are not comparable. As someone circumcised after their first sexual experience, I can confirm this fact. While yes, you can wear a cock ring to immobilize the foreskin to simulate the loss of gliding action, the sensations brought about from tissue that is removed in circumcision makes that simulation a still better experience than the circumcised experience.

All that said, the level of sensitivity declines as you age after circumcision because the head of the penis will generate a thick layer of keratin in response to external friction that wouldn’t occur if the penis was covered by foreskin, much like a callous that develops on your feet or hands from over-manipulation/exposure to stress. Many accounts of adult circumcision cases fail to follow up with patients as they age and the keratin layer develops over time.

My penis was incredibly sensitive feeling following circumcision, but some time later it was dull feeling. Years later, it was numb to sensations of temperature and light touch.

Now, that said, I’ve been undergoing circumcision reversal, and I’m about half way restored. The only parts that have improved are the keratin layer (gone now, temperature and light touch are restored slightly), and the gliding motion.

  • the feeling in the rigid band? Gone
  • the purse string muscular effect of gathering the skin forward? Gone. (Although skin tensing still occurs when I’m cold, it’s not sufficient to keep the skin forward, and the muscle is gone, so the skin doesn’t collect forward by itself)
  • the frenulum? Drastically reduced; in fact, the amount removed varies case to case because our individual anatomy has variation, and the procedure is done by humans which also introduces variation
  • the amount of mucosal derived lubrication? Drastically reduced

It’s mutilation because it’s a permanent, irreversible removal of the most sensitive parts of the penis, removes the gliding action, protection of the head of the penis, there’s no free option to get reversal surgery to restore gliding action (the rest is lost permanently and can’t be replicated without tissue regeneration technology that hasn’t come to market yet, which may never come to market), usually the frenulum is removed (it’s the most sensitive area), etc.
