I find it hilarious that people are flocking to a device with less repairability and durability… if I had to guess, normies are ditching their laptops/tablets and getting a foldable instead.

It appeals to me due to aesthetics and the frequent usefulness of a bigger phone/tablet at hand at work.
No way I will consider even buying it at the current price. I might be okay when it's around half the current price.

Android devs spent years optimizing for tall aspect ratios and now we’re straight up being sold a device that is squat and won’t show all of the user view on the outer screen? I’m so confused who would want less onscreen lmao.

A small problem. Not pertaining to viewing documents, spread sheets, zoomed in images and other similar apps largely independent of aspect ratios
Plus I do use split screen which in this case, would be two tall screens still

The replacement insurance is also pretty cheap considering the device MSRP. They'll do a no-questions-asked device replacement mailed to your door, and ironically your phone still works the whole time in is "normal" slab mode so you don't even miss not having a phone.

these new devices are more durable. samsung has worked out a lot of the issues. to givecredit where credit is due, a lot ofnthe durability upgrdes came from apples demands for their foldable. which hasnt been anounced yet but samsung makes their screens so things get "leaked"
