I wonder if cars back then were more or less resilient to water damage. Simpler, sturdier parts and much simpler electrical systems on one hand, vs. vastly more extensive electrical and electronic systems on modern cars, but perhaps better-protected from moisture via plastic & rubber insulation.
Of course, if it was a Tesla, I'd simply expect a massive fire at the least little splash of water...
It’s just a higher ride height, and we recognize the pollution that driving a car across a stream can cause. Nothing particularly challenging about the depth shown here.
