Who have Professor Cheeto a 1 or 3? I will shit in their shoes.

Catoblepas@piefed.blahaj.zone · 10 pts · 182d

That’s difficulty, not quality. Professor Cheeto is a joy to have as a teacher!

E: wait, just saw the ratings you were talking about. Get the low raters!!

Poor Professor Hertz being inadvertently body shamed

Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works · 4 pts · 182d

Honored, you mean. 😸

So physicists want to assume spherical animals, and now suddenly when they can make that a reality, they don't want it anymore.

Make up your minds, physicists!

I think you are confusing physicists and engineers

i_love_FFT@jlai.lu · 23 pts · 182d

he provides valuable emotional support when Physics shatters our soul.

That is truly written by someone doing a physics BSc.

Assume a spherical cat

Um...

higgsboson@piefed.social · 12 pts · 182d (5 replies)

[also arb. units]

This slew me.

Windex007@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 182d

I'm fine with arbitrary units but I demand a rigorous justification of the error methodology

QuinnyCoded@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 182d (3 replies)

i dont get it

Thalfon@sh.itjust.works · 13 pts · 182d (1 reply)

Arbitrary units. The graph's creator is lampshading that the graph is totally made up in an amusing way.

It's basically saying "made-up units" and "these units were made-up too."

higgsboson@piefed.social · 2 pts · 182d

Lampshading is a great way to describe it.

higgsboson@piefed.social · 2 pts · 182d

"Arb." here is an abbreviation for arbitrary. If you look at the chart, it notes each axis, first [arb. units], [more arb. units], and [also arb. units]

I didn't think about it that way. =/ Sorry.

Mouselemming@sh.itjust.works · 6 pts · 182d

The best way to help Cheeto get fit is to play actively with him.

Manysuchcases@piefed.ca · 4 pts · 182d (1 reply)

He a thick boy

QuinnyCoded@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 182d

a biggie at heart

sin_free_for_00_days@sopuli.xyz · 3 pts · 181d

And that school knows what it's talking about when it comes to animals.

Donebrach@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 181d

Man way to fat-shame a very successful (whatever the scientific term is for an opportunistic parasite / swindler might be called) lil guy.
