Bunkers just prove yet again the short term mindset of the wealthy. they're useless. They hold off death for a brief period of time. Eventually though you need to leave said bunker of which we kill you on exit OR you go the hitler route.

If they really didn't, they'd hand back some of the wealth/power to appease us. Which is why when/if they get to that point, we take what they offer and use that to fight for more.

As an attempt to appease the masses, I'm saying the sane response is to take their money, get healthcare with it, then immediate go back to demanding more of our shit back from them.

I don't agree. I think small reforms will rob us of our energy. We need to end this shit, hard and fast, for the benefit of future generations. We need to take bold, decisive action. Small gifts from the ruling class will just make us complacent. We need to take them down hard and ensure they never ever get back up.
I’m sure it’ll be another right-wing crazy, just like all the others have been. The fact that they haven’t tried to jump in front of it calling the guy a radical leftist means he was probably still wearing his maga gear when it happened.
They don’t seem to understand that firing up al of this puts everyone in danger, including them. Of course, having a dedicated secret service to protect you helps, but that branch is far from perfect.
Here’s the thing about the secret service. Fascists/authoritarians are paranoid and obsessed with personal loyalty. The problem with that is it breeds incompetence, laziness, and negligence. You are limiting yourself to an ever-shrinking pool of sycophants, and I think we all know from our own lives that the least productive or skilled amongst us kiss the most ass.
Given that most law enforcement stories lately (/s) are completely divorced from reality and fall apart with video evidence, I'd like to see the body cam of this. Now all we have to do is wait for the AI to generate some video that matches the report...

Bunkers only are useful if there is friendly territory behind them.
If you can't call the police or your local warlord it's a prison in the best case and an expensive tomb in the worst case.
