It was one of those AI pages filled with ads making shit up again...
But because Microslop has been Microslopping, it sounded too true lol

Or it was testing the waters to see how pissed people were going to be. Roll it back as rumor. Rince and repeat. Until win12 ai pro ultra!!

These days, it’s more probable that they were indeed testing the waters. They don’t see us as even a remote threat and don’t mind toying with us to see what the numbers say.

The funny thing was that article was an AI summary of another article, which in turn was just taken down for lack of accuracy. It's slop all the way down.

that's how a good lie works, you base it on some truths and on current beliefs people hold about a topic.

Microsoft should maybe evaluate why so many people read about the alleged horrible AI+Subscription model and went "yeah that sounds like something microsoft would do." Their brand is in the shitter.
Pretty much every decision Microsoft has made for years has been bad. Why not one more?
If someone posted that Valve is moving to a subscription model, much of the response would probably contain "This seems out of character for them"

The AI responsible for writing the article about microslop's new AI operating system has been sacked
thenextguy@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 199d
The article has been completed in an entirely different style at great expense and at the last minute.

Its hard not to believe that shit when it is exactly microslops play book.

Who ?
Why is it likely ? Says who ?
They have ? Why are there so many versions of Win11 then ?
Reference ? This is statement is just conjecture.
Evidence ?

Yea, and windows 10 was going to be the last Windows OS. I'll believe this article when 2027 rolls and it's still true. Until then, as false as the OG article may have been, and as good as the evidence in this article is, I'm still not going to give any credence to Microslop, because that's the trust they've earned. Fuck 'em.

Had the same thought, but also figured Win11's reputation was bad enough that they might be looking for a reset.
ThomasWilliams@lemmy.world · -1 pts · 198d
The article doesn't actually say that it would be called Win12, just that it would be like a "Windows 12".

I didn't rage bait. It was hope bait. This would be the kind of thing that would skyrocket Linux adoption.

W11 didn't, W10 didn't, Vista didn't.
Railcar8095@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 198d
None were subscription based.

Was the report AI generated?
