So instead of tweets now people put their little comments as the caption to a short form video where they just stare at the camera and then other people screencap that and share it like an image macro, but instead of socially awkward penguin it's this fuckin guy.
Maybe there's another layer if you know who he is but I think it's just some fucking guy and the point is the words and his facial expression/body language.
I agree with this, but it's more than just getting along that the left is failing at. We need to organise better, fight more effectively and build strong communities. This is something the religious folks have mastered.
That's why I think we need to use more religious techniques. And no, I don't mean ML brainwashing. I mean we need spiritual ceremonies. We need to use magic as part of our praxis. We need to liberate our minds from the religious brainwashing of capitalism.

And they don't even have to print it to make more! They can just lend and borrow it to create more money out of thin air! That's how the 2008 financial crisis happened. Too much magic mucking with the money.
They buy newspapers and TV stations so they can rewrite the reality that the people believe in. Create a mirage of nukes in Iran through rhetoric. Illusion magic.
They trap your mind in a prison, and they have more than one prison for different kinds of people. Some of the prisons look like you're working against them, but it just advances their agenda further.
Not to mention the Pope. He's got so much magical power over people. But the new kid on the block to challenge Christianity is the worship of money. Trump knows it, he's made himself a religion.

I have recently been trying to nudge my career into that next level where I combine creativity with technology and just tell people what I do is magic, so I don't have to go too deep into the inner workings of things. I can explain the how, but honestly over the years I've learned people don't want to know how things work, or why we do them, they just want to reap the benefits.
In Jodorowsky's Technopriests, the protagonist seeks to guide his people to a place where they can establish a new society. One where harmonious human relationships are valued more than technological prowess corrupted by an excess of total science and a total lack of consciousness.
I wonder how we can replicate such a journey in real life. Because it's desperately needed.
If you're lucky enough to live in Australia, get to know the Aboriginal people in your local community. Attend some Indigenous cultural events as a learner. White culture has forgotten how to value relationships over technology, but Indigenous culture still remembers. Just remember not to be a nuisance. I would bet close to then things are returning to a form of stability that might resemble something livable and where one would want to raise children. Sorta....
We're in the first third of a generational transition phase, which happens throughout history all the time. The changes over the next few years will take a generation to remediate. Which, at that point, means the goal is not "going back" to something remembered, but seeking stability based on the context of 16-25 year-olds that are kids now who will need that stability to build on to survive. The Olds won't be in any shape to rebuild anything.
They had their shot, and this is what they did with it. I agree, but just because they're our parents doesn't mean their generation made good decisions.

Right, I wasn't. I was just saying I love ma moms and I don't want her to die ever, but that generation needs to go for the betterment of mankind, hopefully. (Probably not though.)
