Is all the heat we get from the sun in the form of infrared light, and if so, wouldn't we loose all of that if the sun turned into a black hole? Night all the time would be fine, but loosing warm temperatures would not be fun.
Not all, but most of it is from infrared, with a little under half of all light recieved from the sun being infrared.* But yes, we would lose our only source of renewable energy and eventually either freeze or starve to death.

If the sun became a blackhole with the same amount of mass as it currently has, we would continue our orbit.
It would be night all the time without moonlight.
