I feel like there was a reason I didn't post this before...

Oh well!

Unfortunately, I’m at the age where if I eat a hamburger and a pizza at 3AM I’m going to be out of commission for the remainder of the week.

but, but, breadcrumbs in bed 😭😭

sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 11 pts · 169d (4 replies)

I was gonna say, please, ladies, plates, or at least a towel!

IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 169d (3 replies)

towels are also helpful if you decide to do another special activity...

sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 10 pts · 169d (2 replies)

... extreme head pats?

... burrito bundling?

IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world · 9 pts · 169d (1 reply)

I feel like extreme headpats can lead to concussions

sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 3 pts · 169d

I meant like, you put the towel over someone's head, from their left side to their right, and then you grab both ends of the towel, raise one side / lower the other, alternate, at i guess whatever pace is desired.

... maybe that's better described as 'extreme hair mussing'.

IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 169d (1 reply)

mm yummy cannabis pizza

(i live in oregon, USA, and naturally of course there is a place that will deliver this to you!)

TotallynotJessica@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 6 pts · 169d

Oregon really is an amazing place

IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 169d (2 replies)

I live in Michigan, and we don't have cannabis pizza, do you think Oregon would deliver to me?

kivihiili@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 5 pts · 169d (1 reply)

well, barring putting the oven itself in the transport vehicle, per food regulations you'd have two hours to work with. but, this is the united states of america, and we have a comically large military!! thus, it could be conceivable to procure one of their faster aircraft and deliver it via an air drop. with the right insulation around the pizza it would still be nice and warm enough and yummy.

of course, the only drawback is the potential of the pilot themself consuming the pizza, getting absolutely freaking STONED, and failing to deliver it in the first place. but there are certainly ways to make it more reliable!!

IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 169d

that is the first practical use for the US military. might as well do that

Sometimes I wish my partner wasn't so good at sleeping so I could have this but also I would never wish this upon anyone

@laser@feddit.org said this:

Some tips that might or night not help:

  • don't watch screens about an hour or so before going to bed. ~~What gets me really tired is reading books ~~
  • drink caffeine not later than 6 hours before going to bed
  • no alcohol
  • good room temperature and ventilation
  • keep activities in bed to not sleep-related ones
  • someone's when I wake up at night and can't get back to sleep, switching from bed to the couch helps for whatever reason

This is all good advice, and I will take none of it

... does... sex cout as sleep related?

Amnesigenic@lemmy.ml · 6 pts · 169d (1 reply)

It does if you pass out immediately

IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 169d

funny, when I was younger I would last a few minutes and pass out. now I'm almost 40 and sex is a multiple hours long activity and I have to stop when my partner passes out.

Thought it would be the other way round.

Nothing in bed except sleep. No food, tv, or phone.

IAmNorRealTakeYourMeds@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 169d (3 replies)

ok Mom

someguy3@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 169d (2 replies)

It's cognitive behavioural therapy. When you associate it with those simulating activities, your brain wakes up expecting those activities. When you associate bed with sleep, you sleep.

user224@lemmy.sdf.org · 9 pts · 169d (1 reply)

OK, but why does my brain associate any math-related lectures with sleep?

sqw@lemmy.sdf.org · 3 pts · 169d

i am also this type. bed = infinite mental puzzling zone

YiddishMcSquidish@lemmy.today · 1 pts · 169d

Add in sex as well and I agree with you. Since I moved into my own place I haven't had a tv in my room for close to a decade and it's one of the best decisions I ever made.
