This is 2026. Everything gets a reboot. The war in the middle east, games, movies, everything.

Could we please pass on the third installment of the World War franchise?

I understand it was a global hit, but it was too loud for my taste.

Sure just transfer the rights to Valve.

Oh, that's a great idea... On the other hand, I'm not sure if World War: Alyx would be much better.

I was about to make a joke about Playstation, but I can't think of a good BluePoint pun.

They're not rebooting they're making a remake of the first game and a sequel to Underworld. Games journalism isn't a real job.

Will they be in the old school, or new style?

RickyRigatoni@piefed.zip · 2 pts · 179d

The other article I read said they were updating the TR1 to match the gameplay style of the latest games.

This time it matters. They are going to make her Sidney Sweeney on some sort of quest for ancient used bath water.

I feel like for the big studios, the game industry is very much like the auto industry. If they want to operate like this fine, but maybe do a scheduled furlough while they shut down the plant during slow times?

I’m not a fan of that model either, but at least it’s more honest than hiring somebody With the promise of a career and laying them off when the game is done.

RightHandOfIkaros@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 179d

If the game is good and I can afford it, yeah

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 178d
