I want a game with this kind of aesthetic that isn't Scorn.

Do you have a higher resolution reproduction?

BazaarMonk@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 139d (2 replies)

I do, but I tend not to share them online due to a factor of things from art theft to AI scraping.

Maybe you could try out nightshade , it only works properly on windows / mac unfortunately, but it's basically a tool to change your image slightly (not that noticeable to people), which poisons AI datasets. If you don't have access to a Mac or Windows PC with a decent GPU, you could also try out WebGlaze, which runs on their servers.

Awesome! I appreciate the information.

I love it. What's your process? Is it graphite with a fixative and then pen? I'd be keen on a pen recommendation that doesn't crap out with too much stippling, especially over powdery mediums.

BazaarMonk@lemmy.world · 3 pts · 139d (2 replies)

Thanks for the love! I use mechanical pencils, with leads HB to 8B. The stippling look actually comes from the paper which has a bit of tooth to it, giving it a rough feeling. For pencils I use Pentel Orenz and Staedtler.

Oh that's just 8B and not pen? Nice. The lack of shine fooled me; either that's a good photo or I need to try some branded 8B. Thanks for the recommendations!

You're very welcome! Have fun on the drawing
