I work in layers to build up the depth and texture. Smoothing everything out with each layer. I start with HB outline, then HB shading, then darker leads for shadows, then mid tone leads and finally return to HB for the final layer.

Thanks! Haha, definitely not intended to be a Mercedes symbol, but a peace symbol. It's definitely not 1:1. People have pointed that out to me before, but I had no idea what the Mercedes symbol was when drawing this.
