Seriously, folks! Just take the time to learn! Order takeout and practice eating with them at home by yourself. Then you don’t have to be embarrassed about it in front of others.
Once you learn to eat with chopsticks it actually becomes fun! You get better and better at it!
In other news, I have a Chinese friend who does not know how to use a fork and knife to cut meat! So yeah it goes both ways!
They have the right to use the R word if they like, but it sure makes me not interested to engage. Pity, because I had a few pithy things to say before I got to that.

I knew this rationally but it just hit me how easy it would have been for early eastern civilizations to craft chopsticks rather than forks.

Apparently they had forks first, then started using chopsticks.

I've read some posts on here saying that in asian countries it's fairly common to jab the food with the chopsticks if you're in a rush.

Confucius says: only lowly dirt people cut and stab meat. Use chopsticks if you don't want to be considered dirty.

Hey you don't get to be calling Asian people names when millions of people can use chopsticks but you can't, that's bullshit.

Doesn't make me angry, just sad.
