Vigilantism is cringe when you live in a society with an equitable system of justice. Since we don't live in such a society, we take what justice we can get, and we recognize Luigi as a cool hero of the working class!

Like when you cancel the medical coverage of people with cancer, or string the ill along with exhaustive paperwork hoping they die before you have to pay out. Not murder.
