although colorful, for once, I don't believe that this was one of Trump's clumsy attempts at gaslighting-- I think some staffer tried to coach him into dismissing this as some doctored meme (which it kinda was, but only a tiny part up top with the weird flying demon thing, not the part where he's clearly a messianic figure), and his fried brain got it confused.

but that's just my interpretation, and we'll never really know for sure unless someone testifies to/writes a memoir about it in a few years/decades or whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
