Yeah, the fossil fuel lobbying definitely paid off for those companies. They really should start moving some of those subsidies into electricity and electric cars / sustainable public transport. There's no reason not to. Battery tech is basically at the point that 95% of people could drive electrically with some minor adjustments so why not give it some more incentives?

Or the fossil fuel are not taxed enough, or even not taxed at all like plane fuel. Reducing taxes is reducing the money a country can invest into itself, in this case probably network development, green development support and regulation. This kind of idea is usually supported by capital owners.

True, but to then tax solar energy is a move against solar energy. Accepting the tax on solar energy in the name of fairness under those conditions is deception.
