Who is a more popular, effective communicator of Democratic party and politically left policy goals that you can point to as superior? Hasan is extremely skilled at explaining progressive policies in an approachable fashion.
I didn't touch on that and there's no reason to ask me it.
I just don't think he's that significant. I understand that people are grabbing into any left side version of the hate machine that the right has been so successful with with their male podcasters. I don't think that they're going to find that that works on the left.
This is what makes me so angry, the casual uninterested willingness to accept the rightwing framing of leftists as just as violent, hateful and dangerous as rightwing extremists by people like you.
Hasan is nothing like Nick Fuentes, Charlie Kirk, Ben Shapiro, Asmongold etc... he despises ideologies of hate and exclusion.
He is a great litmus test. Someone who has a fundamental problem with Hasan is reliably someone who who is not on the left, or at least susceptible to wrecking or infighting.
Quite frankly a tool like that is incredibly empowering for leftwing organization.
Do run of the mill progressives simp for Cuba and China, platform Houti terrorists, and praise Hamas at every opportunity? Hasan is a tankie extremist, that hides his powerlevels badly. His sexist attitudes I won’t even mention. His behavior towards other streams is pretty vile as well.
Given that the two biggest national sponsors of terrorism in the world are Israel and America, any comparison with Cuba, China, the Houthis, and Hamas might come out sounding like praise. Right now the fate of the middle east and the world at large depends on Iran defeating Israel and the US. The worst possible future would be for Israel to get to continue attacking it's neighbors forever to build "greater Israel" as they dream. Does that make Iran the "good guys"? Not even close.
Congratulations, you just absolved the USA and Canada of the crime that were the indigenous boarding schools. Cultural genocide is still genocide, fascist
Yes they have. Who hasn't? America is still continuously invading Indian lands and destroying the ecosystems they depend on. You might have noticed America also has a bit of a white nationalist problem, and is currently in the midst of a purge.
He partied hard and used lots of electricity for his amusement
The free concert that was put on for Cubans and also included Cuban musicians? Yeah, what a travesty that he and other entertainers provided some joy for people ravaged by Trump's foreign policy.
while Cuba is lacking oil.
Your passive framing here icing on the cake. Cuba is "lacking oil" because of the USA's blockade. Cuba is suffering because of decades of economic warfare waged by the USA. If you actually cared about the Cuban people, you would support Hasan raising awareness about it. But you're so caught up in streamer/podcaster drama that you've lost the plot.
If you haven't noticed, young people are very impressed with how life in China seems to be getting better and better while our own lives get worse and worse. Chinamaxxing etc
Yes, Chinese propaganda has lots of success recently. China is a rising power and the USA are in crisis.
China has industrialized extremely well and is now even competitive in research and cutting edge technology. Millions of Chinese living in the rich coastal cities have gained an almost western standard of living. The situation is very different in rural areas. There are also lots of issues with worker’s rights, safe working conditions, environment, etc.
What Hasan Piker likes about China are superficial things like the communist aesthetics, high speed rail, executions of corrupt billionaires, and anti western sentiment.
I'm pretty sure Hasan Piker also likes how Chinese life expectancy has surpassed the US, how Chinese literacy rates have surpassed the US, how Chinese homelessness is lower than the US, etc etc. Those are hardly superficial things.
Like I said, life in China is getting better and better (even in rural areas, though it's slower) and life in the US is getting worse.
The same is true for most other developed countries. You could talk about health care in Sweden, education in Finland, homelessness in Switzerland, life expectancy in Japan, and high speed rail in France. All of them are liberal democracies.
Communist aesthetics are the main reason for Hasan. He’s is all about aesthetics in everything he does.
Lonerbox critices the IDF and Israeli government regularly. He supports Palestinian self determination and a two state solution. Actual Palestinians and other people from the region are on his stream regularly.
If Lonerbox is your evil Zionist enemy, you will forever fail to build a coalition that’s able to make an actual impact for Palestinians.
Edit Samskara is clearly a Zionist the title of this Youtube video link they shared in this recent post being "Why Israel Isn't an Apartheid State...".
They could easily just be a Groyper. Groypers will do hasbara for the lulz, and they are the primary group other than Zionists so dedicated to hating on Hasan.
I agree with a lot of what he says, but the cult he's amassed is quite the problem. I got my first ever "kys" message here after having the audacity to correctly state he absolutely shocked his dog for no reason.
Edit: found at least 2 people who support animal abuse.
This kind of says it all. No, there is no support for animal abuse here, and it's now crystal clear that you are someone who can't (or won't) distinguish between reality and their own assumptions. Readers can contemplate if that is relevant to your accusations against Hassan.
Probably because that's bullshit. I've seen the video, can understand how some people might think that happened, but it didn't. I'm definitely not in his cult, if such a thing actually exists. I've never even watched a significant portion of any of his streams. The guy mumbles a bit too much for my tastes.
Then why was his immediate reaction not one of compassion but scorn calling her a "baby"?
Idk about you but, if my dog yelped my first instinct isn't to fucking scold her, it is immediately wondering what made my dog yelp. The fact he didn't react that way, shows he knew exactly what made her yelp.
Watch the clip again, you cannot in full honesty make this argument.
It's a debatable point, unimportant to the greater discussion. Only trolls and dnc ball suckers bring it up. It's equivalent to how magats fixate on Obama's middle name.
That's not what I said either. It's enough for me to point out that the "facts" as you present them aren't uncontested. I trust rational folks to go look for themselves. Nothing you or I bicker about here would or should be relevant to what they find. I also note that there are probably tens of thousands of hours of Hassan streaming with that dog in the background, and if there were a single other incident indicating that Hassan routinely tortures it, his detractors would certainly have surfaced it by now.
What I will point out is that, were we to swallow this junk wholesale, a "lesser of two evils" comparison between Hassan and his establishment detractors would still put him miles ahead. Shock collars are awful, but not genocide levels of awful. The talking heads reading AIPAC scripts against Hassan are literally motivated by support for a genocidal regime. Re-litigating old and seriously disputed claims is distraction at best.
There is not a single person deploying that criticism in good faith.
Are you vegan? Because from your comment history, it doesn't look like it. Even if your accusation wasn't false (which it 100% is), it's also completely hypocritical because you pay people to do much worse things to animals.
Anyone who spends as much time in front of a camera, with as many people looking to discredit them for political reasons, is bound to have some clip that can be twisted or interpreted in a negative light. It's kind of impressive that you can't actually latch on to the things he says and have to latch on to this bullshit.
Perhaps one of the most useful things Hasan does is draw out people who spread or fall for bullshit like this, so the rest of us know you can't be trusted.
Edit: "Support animal abuse" is rich, considering which one of us actually consumes animals and animal products and actively funds the abuse in those industries. As if it wasn't blatantly obvious already that this is shamelessly bad faith "when did you stop beating your wife" shit.
Anyone who spends as much time in front of a camera, with as many people looking to discredit them for political reasons, is bound to have some clip that can be twisted or interpreted in a negative light.
Most people have, at some point in their life, snapped at someone when they shouldn't have. Most people do not spend a significant portion of their waking hours in front of a camera with a ton of people actively trying to discredit them for political reasons.
Now, having answered that, you answer me. Why are you more preoccupied with this idea that some streamer may have (definitely didn't) shocked a dog, than you are about all the animals that you pay to have tortured and killed?
I can tell you why. Because you know that a dog makes for worse PR. There is no moral component to it for you whatsoever, it's shamelessly bad faith.
And I'm allowed to point out facts about you that prove you're speaking in bad faith. Why would I not be allowed to point out your hypocrisy? What, are you going to call it ad hominem? Kinda difficult when that's the whole point of your false accusation about Hasan, but then again, we both know how shamelessly hypocritical you are.
No you talked about me. You created something between a straw man and an ad hominem.
