According to, U.S. pilot alcohol violations range from 5 to 25 annually over the last 20 years, with 7 violations in 2022.

0.1% fail on random checks.

7 violations in 118,000 pilots.

Violations ≠ occurrences. Don't conflate the facts.

Sure... But there aren't facts on occurrences. Violations seems like it would be a strong indicator of occurrences. If not, why?
