linus's counting style is to go until he runs out of fingers and toes, then start over from 0. this is genuinely why there has never been a kernel with a minor version of 21.
I think they're saying he counts with his fingers facing himself so it looks like swearing. My mother does this when talking to me and i genuinely have to stop her every time. It's only when you do it in a conversatiin to someone that it's bothersome, of course
Yeah, it's in the wrong community imo. Not saying it's not about science, but there's multiple Linux meme subs this could be on where people might actually think it's funny.
