And it'll still probably run at 30FPS

Yeah, he says we're supposed to just build better PCs.

WarmSoda@lemm.ee · 8 pts · 2y

Don't you guys have phones?

x4740N@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

Yeah starfield supposedly requires an ssd but from what I've seen from YouTube it just looks poorly optimised & programmed and they've just used the ssd requirement as am excuse

WaltJRimmer@lemmy.world · 15 pts · 2y

No, no, no! Not with the high quality Horse Armor^TM^ that it has!

Bethesda: "beat the ashes!"

Bethesda: “We have Fallout again but this time in Space! Also, it’s even worse”

Theoretical physicists will be studying Bethesda games for centuries to isolate examples of 0 dimensional shapes found in their writing.

You mean Xbox mauve series XVX. Bethesda is a Microsoft property now. They’re an Xbox exclusive shop. Probably no more releases for PlayStation.

circuitfarmer@lemmy.sdf.org · 1 pts · 2y (1 reply)

They'll have acquired Sony by then, obvs

ziggurism@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

Or the other way round. Xbox studios spins off BGS, which is then acquired by Sony as an independent studio. Literally the exact thing that happened to Bungie.

Xbox Xphere XS Excess Edition

Absolutemehperson@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 2y

No, it'll be Xbox 1080 - but you'll just turn 1080 degrees and walk away from it.

atticus88th@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y (8 replies)

The fact that its not coming to PSVR2 means that they are done porting it.

debunker@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y (5 replies)

Why would Microsoft port it to PlayStation?

Perfide@reddthat.com · 5 pts · 2y (3 replies)

Right, because they were released prior to Microsoft buying Bethesda. That's no longer the case

debunker@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 2y

Yes, but that is about the Activision takeover and entirely independent of Bethesda.

can@sh.itjust.works · 0 pts · 2y

There's also an antitrust case against Microsoft that had them agreeing to release other games like CoD on competing platforms,

I still forget that's a microscot property

The_Picard_Maneuver@startrek.website · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Can it not play it? I've played their regular Skyrim VR port.

Perfide@reddthat.com · 3 pts · 2y

They won't port it to new playstation devices now that Microsoft owns Bethesda.

Potatos_are_not_friends@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 2y

People just keep buying it.

Even Bethesda is surprised.

MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz · 4 pts · 2y (3 replies)

PS9? With how hardware generations are stretching out, we are at most going to have PS7 pro+ by then.

The_Picard_Maneuver@startrek.website · 5 pts · 2y (2 replies)

Maybe they'll start skipping numbers like phone models.

MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz · 3 pts · 2y (1 reply)

Nah. I think Sony will stick to basic numbering with playstation. Xbox on the other hand...

Presenting the eXbox eXperience home console, series Xero3, model Z720+ PRO Xtr3me.

The_Picard_Maneuver@startrek.website · 6 pts · 2y

I play lots of video games (PC, switch, PS5) and should be their target audience, but if someone gave me the post-360 Xbox models and told me to place them in order, I dont think I could.
