I don't need to know who owns the licenses to the 40 background tracks, or which 3D artist crunched long nights to make that bendy spaghetti Black Panther fighting scene.

The difference is pretty big when there are lots of reflective surfaces, and especially when light sources move (prebaked shadows rarely do, and even when, it's hardly realistic).

A big thing is that developers use less effort and the end result looks better. That's progress. You could argue it's kind of like when web developers finally were able to stop supporting IE9 - it wasn't big for end users, but holy hell did the job get more enjoyable, faster and also cheaper.

The intention all along was to destabilise and buy time. With enough time, the US military enterprise machine is able to produce and develop arms that maximise profit, and destruction, driving the US economy up.

It's not dissimilar to what Russia is doing, except there are middlemen to ensure whitewashing is easier.

I really don't see Russia having a chance against us (Finland), in any short term conflict. We're currently closing in to 900 000 troops in reserve.

Other Baltic countries withdrew from the Ottawa deal too, which means mines, mines, mines.

If the Russians can't breach Ukraine, they sure as hell won't breach the Baltics while simultaneously fighting Ukraine.

Edit: I just realized we aren't considered Baltic these days, even though we were referred as such historically (ww1&2 times).
