Judge unsealed an alleged(by cellmate) Jeffrey Epstein suicide note

cross-posted from: https://piefed.world/c/photos/p/1090554/judge-unsealed-an-alleged-jeffrey-epstein-suicide-note

“They investigated me for month -- found nothing!!!” said the short note, which is hard to decipher in some places. “It is a treat to be able to choose” the “time to say goodbye,” the note continues. “Watcha want me to do -- Bust out cryin!!”

“NO FUN,” the note concludes, with those words underlined. “NOT WORTH IT!!”

That doesn't make any sense. If he was being suicided he wouldn't write out "NO FUN", he would just say it!

OMG! TRUMP RELEASED EPSTEIN HIMSELF

Thank you for including a readable text version

I think Epstein maybe just intentionally wrote incoherent babble just to confuse us.

Akasazh@lemmy.world · 4 pts · 126d

If you read his emails, that's sort of similar.

The man felt above spelling

There are times when it is logical to take one's own life and times when it is not. If you're writing it a suicide note when it's not logical to take your life, it's probably not going to come across very coherent.

artyom@piefed.social · 5 pts · 126d (11 replies)

The man was going to rot in prison for the rest of his life, and you think it's not "logical" for him to take his own life in that situation?

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 126d (10 replies)

Considering his wealth? Doubt he was going to rot in prison the rest of his life.

artyom@piefed.social · 4 pts · 126d (9 replies)

He was already in prison...

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 125d (8 replies)

And people in prison often get out. It's one of those things.

artyom@piefed.social · 1 pts · 125d (7 replies)

No, they absolutely do not. Not after sentencing. The rich people that get away with it never make it to prison.

Unless they're pardoned, which, given that he hasn't even pardoned Ghislaine, he probably wouldn't pardon Epstein either. Although maybe move him to the luxury prison with her. I guess you have a point there.

when I'm told to kill myself with this shoestring smuggled in a janitors butthole but I'm also supposed to sound like I want to

The omitted bit in the translation looks like "So 16 year old charges _____"

PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone · 3 pts · 126d

Resulted? That's my best read. Also the 16 could be a 15.

BC_viper@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 126d (1 reply)

So, trump definitely wrote this right? Like without a doubt.

Mowcherie@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 121d

"Time to say goodbye" as in he has the power to leave whenever he wants. Not the same as suicide. A disgusting pathetic person bragging and taunting the world again.
