It's Saturday 05/09/2026. Hey, What's Going On!

About to set up my new pc!

I'm sick as a dog but spent the day replacing all the knob and tube in my dining room and fixing my early 1900s chandelier after a flood in the upstairs bathroom wrecked a bunch of the wiring a few weeks ago. For some reason I chose now to do it. My wife's away today so my 4 year old and 1 year old were helping me. My 4 year old was patching drywall mostly by himself and did better than I've seen some professionals do.

It's done and all the lights and outlets are working again, I just have to get a new dimmer because the old one wouldn't fit in the new box so I threw a regular switch in there.

Now we're hopefully watching movies for the rest on the day so I can rest, but I'm sure the boys will get a burst of energy at some point.

I feel terrible but we had fun and I'm glad we did it.

Was dragged out to a thing with tents of some things to buy and some physical presentations and i think every single goddamn presentation is using ai slop “art” for the images

I slept 12 hours and feel great.

My new(ish) job has me up at like 5:30 five days a week, so Saturdays have been my “do nothing” days. Probably gonna settle into some Powerwash Simulator 2 or maybe try to finish Mudborne, which I have attempted three times so far.

Last night, I fixed the beater Honda Fit I bought recently. I knew the front tires desperately needed to be replaced, but while working on it I saw that one of them had the metal cords exposed, so I'll be getting some used tires today.

I spent 2 nights with boyfriend, so we spent a full 24 hours together. It went really well. It’s also opening weekend at my local amusement park, so I came to ride some roller coasters. Overall, some excellent time off.
