If the only qualifier is a meme…

EDIT: First Contact is the only time we see Defiant used to fight The Borg. And Adam Scott is in that scene.

Is that background LD character confirmed to be them?

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 6 pts · 93d

Unofficial, but there's really no denying that character is meant to look like him.

Oh geeze. I thought the Pakleds were a race introduced in Lower Decks. I didn’t realize they were also from TNG.

Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world · 12 pts · 93d (2 replies)

Introduced in TNG, and a couple background appearances in DS9

Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world · 8 pts · 92d (1 reply)

In which they were crossing a picket line, no less.

ummthatguy@lemmy.world · 11 pts · 92d

"Bar Association" is probably their most notable appearance outside of TNG and LD, but they do show up 18 times in DS9 as background/filler.

I do not believe Lower Decks introduced any new race.

It was a love letter to Star Trek fans with deep cuts across the franchise.

Moopsy!

CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 4 pts · 92d (1 reply)

Damn I forgot about moopsy. And the corn husk curator.

And the race that was first contact. Damn. I need to rewatch it

IronBird@lemmy.world · 2 pts · 92d (1 reply)

eh, not really deep...all pretty surface level and vapid

Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 91d

It's like their writing staff just did a data scrape of Memory Alpha for races or events that only appeared once.

I think sundray@lemmus.org has discovered it.
