Let's not say never. Because they can course correct but it has to be hard pivot:

  • immediately recognize the union
  • in the same statement, provide a path for every other employee to form a union and guarantee that if formation passes, that they will immediately recognize it
  • commit whatever amount they were going to pay their union busting attorneys plus 25% towards helping other unionizing efforts across the tech industry
  • provide free legal services for unions at other companies to help them get recognized

The fact that Wikimedia foundation chose profits over people is absolutely disgusting.

What made me leave the church and ultimately Christianity was how they defended being pro-life.

Christians would have voted in Satan himself he would promise an end to abortion.

I've had countless Christians in 2016 say "Yeah, Trump is a bad guy but I know he'll end abortion."

They never realized that their desire for an end to abortion meant the election of the devil. And now they worship him at the alter of Trump and still call themselves Christians.

But for Republicans and conservatives in general it's about projecting power. Sucking off gorilla dicks do nothing to project power whereas killing a bunch of gorillas do.

It goes further than this. Weeks before COVID, Trump lamented that he didn't have "a Katrina" like Bush. He literally said something along the lines of, "I wish there was a national tragedy that I could take advantage of so that people would re-elect me."

And it was given to him. On a silver platter.

Now, my guess is that if he was given a war or something storm based, he would have had the opportunity to roll out the military or some other fascist bullshit but COVID was a battle of science, something he doesn't believe in.

FIFA has been corrupt for decades. The fact that people still watch them tells you everything you need to know about sports entertainment.

This has to be the most accurate description of PizzaCake.

I'm convinced most guys like her because of her spicy content. Which, I mean, go PizzaCake.

I hate people defending her like she's some sort of edge lord.

Just because he has disposable income doesn't mean he isn't using his capital to try to impress a young woman and even create an aire of obligation to her.

Hell, I'm in my 40s and dating someone that makes roughly a third of what I do. My responsibility to her is to pick dating spots that she can afford, NOT pay for everything.

This isn't about him liking her but how this message is being mingled in with money. There is an inherent power dynamic when it comes to wealth and men especially.

To pretend it doesn't exist shows the immense privilege that exists.

I'm going to disagree slightly.

IMO, outlook is bloated. It has too many features that are either confusing or difficult to use. Microslop should have released a completely new mail app and given it a new providence along with modern features.

Think gmail but it would work with any email account.

Made with modern programming practices. Streamlined and zippy.

But nope.

They needed to create Outlook (new). Which they enshittified.

I fucking hate Outlook. It is stuck in the age of emails being the primary source of communication in a company. Teams isn't any better. (Give me back slack please!!!!)

But let's be clear here: we (the users) aren't Outlook customers. Corporate IT is. And from their standpoint, Outlook does exactly what they need it to do.
