You might think that, and before running I thought that. At one point I’d cancel runs if my AirPods weren’t charged; I couldn’t bear the thought of running without music. Now all runs are without music and the meditative affects don’t surprise me. It’s quite astonishing how running makes you think and what you notice. Obviously there are many factor to take into account and YMMV, but this has been my experience.

while i do typically run with headphones in, it is wild all of the random subjects of thoughts that come into mind while running. Unfortunately, most of the ideas or things I want to follow up on I forget by the time I get back. Then pick it back up going "oh crap I wanted to do xyz when I got back last run..." Rinse and repeat :)

Now now.... the correct phrasing is "cos running is fucking boring to me."

My brain in a run looks like my brain when I'm drowning in the ocean.

Yes! I went to a meditation class once, and thought to my self "huh, this is just like long distance running but without the exersice". I'll stick to running. 😆

Would be nice then to run with my eyes closed at least then it wouldn't be so boring

My brain isn't screaming for me to stop the torture when I meditate...
