A reminder to leave a negative review for the apps that force you to use google play services or completely don't work on custom android ROM's.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smart_id This was the app. A lot of banks use it here in Lithuania for logging in, confirming transactions.

Wait until you learn that the bank isn't your friend.

Wait until you learn that 90% of every economy — from monetary policy, to legislation and regulation, to foreign policy — is essentially dictated by less than 0.001% of the population.

0.001 % of 50 million (random example country population) is 500. So yes, it is roughly correct on the national level. How many officials do you want at that level?

Pretty sure they meant billionaires, since they tend to have disproportionate power for "democracies" and they do regardless of who's in power

There are many reasons to use a custom ROM and not a single reason to respond to your customer like that. Although their customers are banks and governments, so they couldn't care less about the actual users.

imagine giving apps SMS access in stock roms
Scoopta@programming.dev · 7 pts · 94d
I don't think you have to, I believe Google play services has an SMS auto verification thingy that can basically do this for you in the background. Google play services needs SMS access for it but...well it has that on stock roms

Why are lettres not spaced evenly?
unglueclass23@programming.dev · 2 pts · 94d
Oh yeah, now that you mention it and I zoomed in ... some letters are a a bit differently spaced. Might have something to do with the particular font that i'm using or font settings on linux?
Zwiebel@feddit.org · 3 pts · 94d
The spacing is called kerning btw

I think a better comment would've been "required google services to connect meaning google also has to know who I am in order to connect. Please remove the google services requirement so I can use this without google play"
If it's possible, you can also lodge a complaint at a relative authority in Lithuania.
