Not disagreeing with you in whole because most pollution is done by corporations, but there are a few things done largely by individuals. I'm mostly thinking of a demand for meat and car tires being the largest source of microplastics. Other than those two things, in my opinion, there isn't a lot that individuals contribute to pollution.

Nothing wrong with being a Luddite, the movement was originally for workers rights and not removing thousands of years of handed down artisan craft that was being industrialized. We both know technologies like this are being used to concentrate wealth. I'm personally not against AI as long as its used in moderation, but insulting those who want to boycott because they see the harms of wide scale usage is simply ignorant, much like your comparison to the Luddite movement.

I've never worked with a rust codebase that big. I've never had to deal with issues like that but damn, 10 minutes to run a test is crazy.

Federation is when two servers agree to share information using the same protocol. The best example of this is email. Different providers can send emails in the same format to different servers, regardless of whether they have the same owner because they use the same protocol. This is federation. Federation also has the plus of being able to choose which servers you want to share information with.

You're probably right that one instance isn't federated, or another option is that one server has an older record of a post than another and hasn't been updated yet for some reason.
