I was expecting to see discussions about a new community being formed, "Sharp Men's Club".

Better than putting one of the brake pads on backwards. Yes, somehow. Fortunately I always test things out gently first, and was very aware of the metal to metal sound and realized what I had done, so immediately parked it again and jacked it back up. No obvious rotor damage. Whew.

jacked it back up

I mounted a winch in the garage to lift the front or back from the riding mower or my quad. Also lift the generator for maintenance and ... and ... and ...

I did the same when I got a new chainsaw chain. Felt really dumb when I did not understand why it did not start at first.

Happens easy. But with a chainsaw I know the rotation direction. The underside of a lawnmower deck ... No clues, no hints. If you don't mark them before taking them off .... :(

Haven't done it yet, but I think I'll have to do it myself after the summer.

Did to all the moles, and the fact that there used to be buildings where I now mow (old farm), they pull up so many stones that my blades will never be properly sharp 🤣 we also let nearly everything grow wild, and mow it all twice. Other than that, the garden and paths.

If you're letting it grow wild, you might as well look into converting it to a native grassland/prairie. It's a fair amount of work, but it could turn your twice a year mowing into zero.

Same in sweden. Cleared all stones, but they re-appear everywhere, I just have to learn to live with that sound
