I mean on hand, fuck police and all but on the other…

The location has been closed for nearly a year after officials say shoplifters set fires in the store to distract from their thieving.

I can’t really blame Walmart for wanting protection

As a taxpayer, why do I foot the bill for Walmarts security? Especially when corporations don’t pay shit in taxes?

At that point I would just take my business elsewhere.

We do have "food deserts" sometimes caused by grocery stores staying away due to security concerns, more common in high crime / low income areas.

...Which is where Walmart is allegedly known to swoop in, because everyone nearby tends to be desperate for a minimum-wage job and a place to buy food regardless of quality. Sort of predatory, but better than nothing I guess.

Dollar general does this in rural areas, most grow gardens and can and hunt but if you don't you will be eating the most garbage "food" in the states. Tbh nutrition wise, dollar general food is probably some of the worst in the world
