That whole movie was fan service schlock. That moment was admittedly extremely lame but so was so much of that movie.

What is the only scene in that movie that gets bitched about regularly?
It is this scene and you can minimize it all you want but this scene gets bitched about for only one reason.

My problem with that scene is that it didn't really go anywhere. I expected more, but instead all the women (and spider-man iirc) line up to pose. Then there is 15 seconds on bad ass women. Then business as usual. Made the scene feel out of place to me; like something bigger was supposed to happen but got cut.

Maybe you think it's just exaggerated fashion?
But a lot of policy positions and opinions that used to be exclusively "punk" are now incredibly mainstream for everyone under 60 years old.
The actual important parts of punk culture are mainstream, and have been for a while.
Like, do you even realize how rare protests were 20 years ago, let alone riots? A single one was national news for months
People are fed up and have less to lose every day, they don't need people to teach them to be punk, they don't need mohawks and leather jackets...
Shit societies makes punks, and we've been making punks non stop lately.
It's not a fucking clique or people with the same fashion sense. It's a natural result to unfair systems

In 1969, there were hundreds of protests including a protest in DC of 500,000 people.
That was before "punk" existed. You can't change the word punk to mean protestor.
Jan 6th rioters weren't punk.
