Woke up with one very swollen eye. Giving me flashbacks to when my ex farted on my pillow and gave me pinkeye ๐ I don't think it's pink eye this time though, no weeping and it isn't pink or red, just swollen.
Getting a blood test done today will be interesting lol
They did it because I upset them and they were (probably still are) abusive lol
I can laugh about it now, because it's wild crazy behaviour, but at the time it was difficult to explain to my co-workers that I just told them it was some sort of eye infection
If I could get it removed, you best believe I'll be getting a bejewelled eyepatch, or a freaky glass eye I'll leave around in places and when partner finds it I'll say
Have had some tears going while watching clips of the last episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. I went to a taping of it back in 2018 and had an absolute blast. Can't for the life of me remember who was being interviewed but remember Stephen being so amazingly warm and kind to the audience pre taping.
I went to a place called Rattle n Hum afterwards and had to fake having fireball for the first time.
So do I. Major nostalgia thing for me - my grandfather was a member for years, so a Lions Club fruit cake was my grandmotherโs contribution to the season.
I got one for Christmas in 2025, and have just cracked it open. My god, so much cake. Please, take some
I am strongly in favour of the school that requires the fruit for a cake to be soaked in strong tea rather than in rum or brandy. I will, however, soak the fruit for a plum pudding in rum/brandy. Cake is different.
The man brought home these ugly cake plates. I'm gonna eat lamingtons and Vegemite sandwiches off them while reading Possum Magic. Not today. Today is beer day.
Back on the bike to work today. It has been a while and gotten so much colder since last ride so I'm using public transport whilst it's still free. If I don't get back on the bike now I won't until Spring.
Nope. Saw it for myself on a trip to Zimbabwe. The tour guide bloke had a bucket of water with a hole in it - suspended a toothpick that rotated clockwise when north of the equator as the water ran out. We then walked 50 metres to south of the equator and repeated the bucket/toothpick bit. Spun anti-clockwise. Physics is wonderful but sensitive to location on the globe's surface. I am not responsible for the devil's presence/absence - physics is fundamental. I also stir sauces anti-clockwise against the advice in my great-grandmother's handwritten cookbook from approx 1880. The sauces taste just fine. Bite me.
EDIT: I think it's called the Coriolis Effect. Presumably works on devils too.

If you're looking for a doco on porridge competitions The Golden Spurtle on Netflix is your show. 5/5 for entertainment.
*A golden spurtle is a spurtle that is golden that has its own suitcase. Not my words
