I did training in a data center with this stuff (I think) once. They said if there is a fire hit the button then you have like ten seconds to leave the room before the oxygen goes bye bye.
I remember touring a Strategic Air Command base and someone describing a Halon fire suppressant system as "for when the data is more important than any people in the room".
looks nice, but could be very toxic depending on how old the system is.
The old version of this foam did contain hella much PFAS.
You can find it now in basically every groundwater around military airfields.
And there are bunch of law suits from ex aircraft carrier crew about this because they where not told the foam is toxic and they had to clean up the foam without protection after fire drills.

Yep. It's to fight fuel fires, fuel floats on water, so you can't just put it out with water, you need foam.
A lot of aircraft hangars have an automated foam system, like this.
