Lather: Chicago Grooming Co. - Smoke on the Water - Cream
Post Shave: Chicago Grooming Co. - Frankie & Myrna - Aftershave
Post Shave: Oleo & Company Soapmakers - Unscented - Facial Toner
Fragrance: Stirling Soap Co. - Varen - EdP
In the past I've sort of struggled with this cream. It's a tester from Vida and it has just taken me a minute to nail down how to handle it. From what she said, Smoke on the Water frag oil doesn't play with the cream very nicely and makes it firmer than it should be.
Today I loaded the snot out of it and ran it as dry as I could stand. I got a lot more protection than I've gotten in the past and really enjoyed the shave!
Yes, still a little bit of a hot feeling. While I'd rather it not do that, it's tolerable and goes away immediately after I rinse. So I'll keep it around I think.
Brush: Rad Dinosaur Creations "Nebulagance" - TurnNShave Quartermoon 26mm Synthetic
Razor: Tatara Masamune Open Comb
Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome (1)
Lather: Elysian - Augustus - Soap
Post Shave: Catie's Bubbles - Miracle - Aftershave
Post Shave: Oleo & Co. - Facial Toner - Toner
Fragrance: Barrister and Mann - Lavender, Interrupted - EdT
Taking a break from Micromatic May to try out this Masamune that just came in on a passaround from u/Engineered_Shave.
First impressions are very good. The razor has a good balance to it, the craftmanship is excellent, and it shaves efficiently and comfortably. I was also surprised by how grippy the handle feels when wet. I was expecting it to feel pretty slippery.
I want to try it with a few different blades over the coming days, but I'm impressed after the first shave.
Old Spice Sunday: Sample kill. This soap is from The Great Spice Off #13 and Adventus Calendar day 6.
I like this base despite it being vegan. At the beginning of lathering, it looks like it's going to be a weak or delicate soap. Once it gets going, it makes gobs of lather.
It was a very nice shave. 7 Doubloons has a bit of menthol in it. Using Stirling's Glacial balm right after put a blizzard on my face.
This was the last of my soaps that has a peach top note in its fragrance. Last, but certainly not least. Just before this shave, I refreshed the edge on my Iberia to see if I would notice the difference between the razor with 23 shaves on it and the razor with a brand new edge. Yeah, I could tell the difference. Amazing shave today!

I thought the cream performed excellently, but I passed my tub along because of the tingles it gave my face. Is yours still causing some irritation?
