Anime porn and furry porn… holy shit. That took at least a week to block them all and they still keep making new instances.

Whirling_Ashandarei@lemmy.world · 16 pts · 85d (1 reply)

And the amount they post, like do you do anything else all day???

green_copper@kbin.earth · 1 pts · 84d

We do other things too, but we are very efficient at posting ;) (And some of us have written programs to assist with scheduled posting.)

texture@lemmy.world · 10 pts · 85d (2 replies)

thats funny ive never seen any at all

Kolanaki@pawb.social · 3 pts · 84d

I was on Yiffit and now am on Pawb; I only see furry porn if I actively look for it by switching to local view only.

tobebannedbygaymods@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 85d

me too , I haven't even seen normal NSFW or Porn !

BakedCatboy@lemmy.ml · 10 pts · 85d (4 replies)

From what instances? I haven't seen any and I don't think I've blocked anything

TheAsianDonKnots@lemmy.zip · 10 pts · 85d (3 replies)

…and about 100+ more.

CheetahHybrid@pawb.social · 14 pts · 85d

Nooooo, don't block my yiff sub XD

BakedCatboy@lemmy.ml · 5 pts · 85d (1 reply)

Hmm yeah I've never seen anything from fedinsfw on my home feed, I assumed they were defederated or filtered from feeds by default. I do have nsfw enabled but blurred but I just don't typically see anything from dedicated nsfw communities for some reason.

Not_mikey@lemmy.dbzer0.com · 5 pts · 85d

You'll only really see them on "new" sort, they rarely have enough up votes to get in to hot / top sorts

Raiderkev@lemmy.world · 5 pts · 85d (1 reply)

Ha, same. That and no offense to our non English speaking friends, but I had to block a bunch of non English speaking instances those because I couldn't understand them.

TheAsianDonKnots@lemmy.zip · 3 pts · 85d

My reader, Mlem, has a button to filter out non-English posts but it consistently fails at filtering out German for some reason.

That muzzle makes me question many things.

I am unsure if I want the answer or don't want the answer.

Either way, GOD DAYUM

I'll trade you 6 buckets of piss and a snowblower that shoots cum in exchange for getting on this highly coveted blocklist

Sendpicsofsandwiches@sh.itjust.works · 7 pts · 85d (5 replies)

Throw in a 6 pack of thermo-cumular missles for that snow blower and you got yourself a slap happy butt smackin' deal, my friend.

Best I can do is a thermos full of cum with a toy missile in the middle

Sendpicsofsandwiches@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 85d (2 replies)

What color is the thermos?

MacaqueAndCheese@lemmy.ca · 3 pts · 85d (1 reply)

Cigarette smoke stained white

Sendpicsofsandwiches@sh.itjust.works · 3 pts · 85d

I'll take it!

OpenStars@piefed.social · 13 pts · 85d (2 replies)

Neat idea: shared blocklists, like uBlock origin filter lists and spam filters.

Although I find that simply blocking the entire instances of hexbear.net, hilariouschaos.com, and lemmygrad.ml takes care of 99% of the problem, and then blocking lemmy.ml deals with 90% of what's left over. The rest is just a few scattered individuals.

explodicle@sh.itjust.works · 2 pts · 84d (1 reply)

Having a central administrator would kill all the fun - it's easier to tell what's an ad than who's a jerk. A web of trust would be cooler. If you gave me a good rating, then you'd be more likely to see posts by people to whom I've given a good rating.

Plus a cool web thing is an easier sell to potential users than "Oh yeah just download the jerk list, and don't get flagged!"

OpenStars@piefed.social · 1 pts · 84d

Piefed has a reputation system so that many downvotes from trusted instances - e.g. if hexbear is not defederated from, it still nonetheless does not necessarily have to have a full seat at every table like all other instances - will alert recipients to someone who likes to be controversial. It's not a filter, there is way provided to block such a person based upon this automated system computed from their received scores, but an icon next to the name let's you know that an argument with them is likely to leave you disappointed rather than fulfilled. Incels can do whatever they want, but that does not mean that others should be forced into platforming every single thing that they want to say.

is there a way to compile and export a blocklist that will work regardless of lemmy client? I'm trying to get my friends on board but they're put off by all the respectfully furry shit. lol

Holytimes@sh.itjust.works · 1 pts · 84d

To be perfectly honest tell them to grow up and make their own block list. The downside to Lemmy is no matter how hard you work on a blocklist for them.

They will still see endless furry and other stuff cause there's always a new source. You can't forever coddle them. Its just actively pointless to even try.

They need to learn to block things themselves. Or they will just become the sort that bitch they don't want to see shit. Which makes them the problem.

Learning to grow up and actually put on your big boy and big girl pants. And realize your goanna see shit you dislike or disagree with. Then just block it and move on. It a needed skill to navigate the internet as a whole outside of the extremely over censored corporate controlled spaces.

Hell even then sometimes.

tobebannedbygaymods@lemmy.zip · 2 pts · 85d

I'm usually the one who gets blocked
