I've been meaning to write this up for a while. I'm almost through my second bottle of the Oleo & Co. (aka Chicago Grooming Co) alcohol-free toner and figured if I keep reordering the thing I should probably say a thing or two about it.
It's water based with flaxseed oil and cupuaçu butter. I spray 5-6 pumps directly on my face after whatever splash I'm using that day. It sinks in fast, no greasy film left behind, and my face just feels calm afterward. Soothed is the word I keep landing on. Glowing, even.
On its own it's close to scentless to my nose, which I actually like quite a bit. It's not fighting with the soap or splash I'm using for the shave.
It comes in 4oz and (newly released) 8oz bottles. A 4 oz. bottle lasts me a good long while (~126 shaves for the first bottle I finished), so the price feels more than fair to me.
Two bottles in and a third is standing by in the wings. If you're looking for a nice aftershave toner, it's 100% worth a try.
Vida, if you're reading this, please keep making this product. It's quickly become my favorite post shave product and is a staple in my den.

IIRC, Vida had this at the meetup. I purchased some of her bath soap instead. I normally use Thayers as a toner. I’ll give her facial toner a try when I run out which will be pretty soon.

I like this stuff a lot, too. I've been using 1 or 2 pumps into my hand, and apply it like any other product.
I've noticed that traditionally, aftershave has alcohol and toner has witch hazel. This product doesn't meet that definition, but that's ok!
I'm not sure how much toning it actually does, but it makes my skin feel quite nice.
