A lot of things that got announced will be playable on other consoles and on PC as well. I got Ace Combat to look forward to. It releases on my birthday as well!

Thanks! Yeah, I grew up with Ace Combat and it's my favourite series ever, so it's the perfect gift for me :D

I think I'll be quite busy in September, but basically everything listed as releasing in September is a miss for me. I'll be busy with the dozens of other games that came out this year, for sure.

Jesus can someone help out and give me just the text. I can’t get anything but ad ridden hell on that page in my iPhone

No problem. I have ad blockers on ad blockers but I can see how it might be problematic for people on more locked down hardware.

Use and adblocker....?
RightHandOfIkaros@lemmy.world · -3 pts · 61d
Adblockers should not be required for browsing the internet, and especially not for reading articles.
Itsamelemmy@lemmy.zip · 6 pts · 61d
Yet they have been for at least a decade. So why would anyone still not be using one?
RightHandOfIkaros@lemmy.world · 1 pts · 61d
I know. But I would rather nobody need one. Which is why even though I have an adblocker, I don't go to sites that have ads or paywalls in them if I can avoid it.
Saying "just use an adblocker" isnt solving the problem IMO. It is only a temporary mitigation that is usually effective at best and borderline useless at worst. Its like going to your doctor and telling them about pain and your doctor says "just take painkillers." Like yes, it makes the pain subside, but it doesn't solve the problem.

Victims of their own hubris. In their effort to minimize competition and maximize sales, they managed to create a situation where they both maximized competition and minimized sales collectively. Incredible.

Ok yeah. Why are some people compelled to shell out $150+ on day-1 AAA releases? Theyre generally imbalanced and bug ridden. Give them a few months so the issues are patched out and the price drops maybe 30%.

The idiot tax. I always have to imagine that one guy in a meeting once said: what if we let people play the game eary and use them as free pre release testers. And another guy goes: oh, so they work for free, nice. And then the guy leans forward and sais: No, they pay extra!

Then Rockstar puts out a GTA demo in September just to be a dick lol
DillDough@lemmy.zip · 1 pts · 60d
Wasn't Rockstars last demo for gta2 back in 99?
agentTeiko@piefed.social · 1 pts · 59d
Yeah that's why it would be funny.

Most seem to be PS5 games. Don't have one so meh for me. But I will say this: between all these autumn releases and GTA6 in november, PS people will be eating well this winter.

Don’t get me wrong, these are fine titles, but I won’t drop the money to play day one. And I actually never did hehe

I have never really loved any supercape game, but this one really looks good!
